This blog is an attempt to chronicle my experience living and working in the Philippines. I am based in Davao City on the island of Mindanao. I hope to add more basic country / region information in the near future.
While the subject of writing on this blog may sometimes be about important and complex concerns, posts should nevertheless be read as personal journals, rather than well-researched or thoughtfully analyzed essays. This blog emerged as one way to meet a requirement for my internship to be continually reflective, and therefore the emphasis is on frequency rather than sophisticated content. Therefore, while I will endeavor to speak truthfully, I will not have the time to fact-check my statements, assumptions, or thoughts (or spelling, or names). Please read my posts, therefore, as one person’s interpretation of a situation, and additionally, an inexperienced foreigner’s interpretation. Salamat.
